Welcome. Welcome to my story. My story is about a presence that follows you home, just out of sight but always present. I know everything about you, every detail. My name is Jamie Scott, and I am your narrator, your guide through this tale of vengeance and redemption.

I live on the seventh floor, sandwiched between the Lotts and the fire escape. Thirteen years ago, I was born in this rundown place, and I always thought I would die here. Time is stagnant in Asphodel Meadows, with each day blending into the next in a monotonous cycle. The same TV shows, the same leftovers for dinner, the same unfinished conversations echoing through the walkways.

But tonight is different. It's seven o'clock on September 6th, and they have arrived. Finally.

Jamie is a precocious teenager with a messiah complex, seeking vengeance against those who have wronged him. Join me as we follow him along the walkway, observing his neighbors and witnessing the unfolding drama that he has orchestrated.

You'll meet Kath, a recently divorced woman who lost her job due to an affair with a student; Paul, a struggling writer; Jamie's abusive mother, known as the Fat Beast; Char, a sex worker, and her clients; the seemingly perfect Lott family; and Sam, the resident drug addict. Each character grapples with forgiveness, missed opportunities, and the crushing weight of loneliness.
